Louisiana requires all vehicles pass an annual safety inspection to travel on roadways. All factory issued safety related items on your vehicle must be operational and meet their guidelines. For example, windshields must meet specified guidelines for cracks, chips and window tint. Tires must meet requirements concerning tire wear for safety.
The hours of operation set by the State for inspections are 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm, Monday – Friday.
No inspections are allowed if the streets are wet.
